2010 saw a big focus on expanding the range of PA systems available for hire, and now they're ready to be used. There are still ongoing improvements being made to expand the number of systems available at any one time.

Along with the introduction with the ever popular Auto-Mute (Silent) guitar leads, a new type of cable is on it's way.
The DI Box lead, is a guitar lead with a standard looking guitar jack at one end and an XLR (microphone) plug at the other. This cable has a DI Box in the guitar plug!
That's right, no more having a DI box on stage getting in the way! You plug straight into the mixing desk/snake, and because the DI is in the guitar plug, you get no loss of signal through a guitar cable between the guitar and a DI Box.This product is still in prototyping at this stage, but when it's released, it will be perfect for acoustic guitarists wanting top quality sound and more freedom to move round the stage without worrying about a DI box.

Coloured protective braiding for guitar and microphone cables is now available as an optional extra for all SoundGuy.co.nz audio cables. This protective braiding helps protect the cable and also adds colour. (Available in a variety of colours, including black.)
