By using a special version of a standard guitar plug with an integrated switch, The Silent Lead automatically mutes (shorts) a guitar cable to avoid annoying pops and squeals when unplugging guitars.

What It Means:

You can unplug your guitar without having to go over to the amp and turn it off. Great for when you need to change guitars during a performance. Ideal for sound systems that don't mute the monitors along with the front of house system.

How It Works:

The Silent Plug automatically mutes (shorts) an instrument (guitar) cable to avoid pops and squeals when changing the instrument (guitar) under load.

The integrated silent switch (pat. pending) is based on REED-technology and guarantees a lifetime beyond 10,000 connection cycles.

Please note:

This lead is for instrument applications only! That is to say, only for connecting the output of a guitar or similar instrument to the input on an amplifier or PA etc. It should NOT be used on the output of an amplifier as this may blow the amp.

The silent lead comes with one silent plug on one end and one standard plug on the other. In order to get the benefit of the silent lead, always use the silent end to plug in to your instrument.
